Boat Diving

Learn the core skills of boat diving while gaining experience diving off a boat in real-world conditions. This Adventure Dive focuses on boat diving procedures, a variety of entry and exit techniques, gear setup, and safe diving practices from a vessel.

Underwater Photography

Learn the essential skills of underwater photography while capturing the beauty of the underwater world. This Adventure Dive focuses on camera handling, composition, lighting, buoyancy control, and techniques for taking clear, vibrant underwater photos.

Night Diving

Learn the fundamentals of night diving while experiencing the underwater world after dark. This Adventure Dive focuses on light use, underwater communication at night, navigation in low visibility, and safe night diving procedures while discovering how marine life changes after sunset.

Fish Identification

Cavern (Yucatán, Mexico)

Wreck Diving

PADI AWARE

Learn how divers can help protect and preserve the underwater world through conservation-focused diving practices and environmental awareness.

The PADI AWARE Adventure Dive introduces ocean conservation topics such as marine debris, protecting aquatic ecosystems, responsible diving practices, and how divers can make a positive impact both above and below the surface.

PADI Dive Against Debris

Learn how divers can actively protect the ocean by removing marine debris and contributing to underwater conservation efforts.

The Dive Against Debris Adventure Dive focuses on identifying and safely removing underwater debris, responsible collection techniques, data reporting, and helping protect marine ecosystems while making a direct positive impact on the underwater environment.

Adventure Dives are designed as introductory experiences that allow you to explore different types of diving while completing your Advanced Open Water course. Each Adventure Dive includes one training dive focused on a specific skill or environment—such as Night Diving, Underwater Navigation, or Deep Diving—giving you a chance to try it out and build experience.

Specialty Courses take those same topics further with more in-depth training, additional knowledge development, and multiple dives focused specifically on that area of diving. For example, a Night Diver Specialty includes several night dives and expanded training beyond the single Night Adventure Dive completed during Advanced Open Water.
